Since we just came out of our 5 day long weekend, what are some of your favourite Easter or Passover traditions? If you do not celebrate either, what are some activities you enjoy doing over long weekends?

  1. My favorite Passover tradition is when my mom's side of the family comes over to my house to celebrate. Than we all sit at the table everyone says a bit of the story of Passover and then we eat dinner and everyone brings a little something for dessert. My favorite Easter tradition is going to my grandmothers house on my dad's side and eating a nice dinner she made and a nice dessert she made. Than my aunt sets up a little game and everyone gives a little something like candy, chocolate and a big kinder egg and later we all talk to each other saying how our life is.

  2. One of my many Passover traditions during Easter is: 1) the whole family comes over and we do an Easter egg hunt. 2) we celebrate my grandfathers birthday too. 3) before everything starts I go to church. 4) after the hunt we sit at the table and have a big feast. Another thing we do is we play a lot of Italian games and we celebrate by having my grandfathers homemade wine. One tradition that I always do during Easter is we usually go to a restaurant for my grandfathers birthday. Last year my for my grandfathers birthday, the whole family got up from their feet and started making so much noise that we got kicked out

  4. Some of my favorite Easter traditions is when we 1) my whole family gets together and we eat dinner together. Another thing we like to do is play video games. Me, my brother and my cousins play video games together. It is really fun. We also always go to my uncle and aunt’s house. I also celebrate the orthodox Easter, which is this weekend.

  5. During easter, and good friday, we eat no meat. So on both days we go to chruch. Once chruch is over, we go to my grandparents house to have lots of food. Its really fun because my whole family comes over, it's pretty hard to get everyone together. My little cousin celebrated her first easter. However, she looked very uncomfortable in her dress. It was really fun because my great grandmother got a phone and I was able to talk to her after 7 years. I was really happy then.

  6. I never celebrate, but my friends are going to church usually but i am not going to church. In the long weekend i use to sleep or sleep with whole time or play games. I have somethings pretty rude and funny happened during the easter, because i was realized that day was easter day because of the eggs in the games.

  7. do not have any big favourite traditions that me and my family do over the easter break.I always just like the long five day weekend, spending some time with my whole family, and eating good dinners with an extremely big load of chocolate. Over long weekends, I always like to play basketball, play video games, and watch a lot of youtube.

  8. During Easter, my mom would make a lot of good food for dinner, and our family would all eat together. I would also bake a cake with my mom for dessert, which is always fun for me. After dinner, we would play some board games together. Another thing I like is to paint the eggs and decorate the basket. It was pretty fun.

  9. My family celebrates Easter. Each year the afternoon is different, this year we woke up and looked around the house for eggs (because my mom has a lot of fun hiding them the night before). Then we went for "brunch" at our friends with ALL of our family, he's a professional cooker so it was good. The brunch ended around 2 so we immediately headed to my grandparents house for our yearly Easter dinner. We stayed there till 10pm playing cards and watching movies.

  10. One of my favorite Easter tradition is that when I wake up in the morning my parents but mostly my mom put chocolate in the house and me and my brother need to find the chocolate. I also like visiting my family because I don’t see them a lot. I also really enjoy just sleeping a lot on long weekend like the one we just add.

  11. My favourite tradition of Easter is that me and my family we go to a church convention to praise the LORD and we have a big dinner with the family and have fun. When we have Sunday school we talk aboutWhat happened to Jesus.

  12. My favourite Easter tradition is seeing my little cousins. Sometime during the weekend, I go to my grandmas house and see my younger cousins. When ever I see them we go outside and I make up a fun game for us to play. Sometimes we go back inside and eat chocolate. I really wish I could see them more often.

  13. I celebrate easter not passover, and what we do is the night before we have a nice dinner like steak and fries. Then the next morning we wake up early (because of my sisters) and we look for easter eggs all over the house. Then once we have found all the eggs we look for our giant easter egg baskets.

  15. In my family our favorite tradition is to hide some candies everywhere in the house and look for them, it's a bit childish but I still enjoy it. We also do some stuff from Croatian traditions that do not happen in Canada
