ReplyDeleteI think it was a bad idea, because it could have been any other punishment. The principal could have just suspended them for a week or expell them if he was taking sexual harassing too seriously, but instead he just canceled extra school activities so other innocent students couldn't participate in them. There was also no point on canceling all mid year exams because it has nothing to do with sexual harassment.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, sexual harassment has NOTHING to do with exams! Yes it is one way to solve this problem, but, there are many other ways too. For example you can suspend them or expel them! You shouldn’t punish everyone if only six people did something wrong.The principal is also making a bad Choice for removing mid-term exams for the whole school year because: for everyone else’s education, like I said you shouldn’t punish everyone if only six people did it! He (principal) is making a very bad decision, in my opinion.

DeleteThis is a terrible idea. Sic students did something bad and the whole school has to be punished? I just don't understand. Those six students should've been expelled and the principal should have let the other students continue with their education. Just by punishing the students would've shown that harassment is wrong!

DeleteI think that it is not right that the principal is punishing the whole school just because of six students. The mid year exams are boring and stuff but it is good to prepare what is coming for the end of the year exams so it’s both a good and bad idea. First of all why would they ban after school activitys there good for exercise. You can't just punish a whole school over six boys that messed up and made a huge mistakein their life, they will never kearn like that. I think the principle should kick them out of the school or send them for juvy and it will scar them for life because it will be on there criminal record. He should send them to juvy for a few months to teach them a lesson or a strict school.

I think the six kids should be expelled from St. Michaels. The six kids should also not be allowed to go to any schools ever again. I think they should teach kids that sexual harassment is wrong by saying that anyone else that does that then they will get expelled.

DeleteIt’s just not right...they should be expelled and grounded for life and maybe even spend a bite of time in jail. I think the principal did the right thing. Canceling all after school activities was a good idea so was canceling all mid year exams. They should get to the bottom of why these kids would even think to do something like that. I can’t even believe things like happen in the world.
ReplyDeleteI think what the principal did my canceling all after school activities was smart, and i think the kids should be expelled from the whole school board and maybe put in jail, honestly people are insane with that kind of stuff, when will they learn, sexual harassment is really wrong and is never tolerated at schools or anywhere. All the student in school needs education and extra activities. He could have just dismissed the six students and to teach everyone about the sexual harassment is wrong.

If some student got sexually harassed it is maybe because the school is not ready for thing like that to append and it is not because of the mid-year exam or the extra activities. The extra activities are good for a student to relax and exam can judge if the student understand the subject in school.

DeleteSexual harassment is definitely not a good thing, but the principal of St. Michael’s went over the top by cancelling all the mid year exams and extracurricular activities. I think that the six students should be given a lot more homework and a lot of detention. Most principals would suspend the students, but that is a bad way to punish kids because kids hate school and sending them home would only make them happy. I think that to teach kids that sexual harassment is wrong, we should constantly be telling them that at a young age, so that when they grow up, they do not do it to other people.
ReplyDeleteThese students should go to jail for a year and a half. Its not like they were in high school. The were in college! It does not take more than one brain cell to know that its wrong! Although, I think the principal went over board. Mid term exams and extra curricular activities have nothing to do with what happened. Its not fair to the other students. The simplest way to teach kids not to this, is to give them the facts. Not doing that to people is just as plain and simple as not abusing others, and this is a form of abuse. Just like were taught not to hit or push, we should also be taught that this is wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think that the principal is making a horrible decision, just because some dumb students did things they weren't supposed to do doesn't mean other students who didn't do anything should be punished. Extra-curricular activities help us engage in school. Also cancelling mid-year exams is just about the worst decision I've ever heard of. How will the teachers know where the students are at? Also i think the six students should be expelled and to never be allowed to attend any other schools. They should be home-schooled and I hate hearing of people who have been sexually harassed because i had a friend who had been, so now it makes me feel horrible. I think people can be taught by being shown the consequences, so hopefully they understand what can become of sexual harassment.
ReplyDeletei think that it a bit unfair to the kids who had nothing to do with the situation. fpr the extra curicular activity kids like doing that and the exams can help kids up there grade. but i dont think they get that chance anymore. but on the other side it shows how bad sexually harrasmet is so maybe it will show some kids that if you do something bad then there will be negative side effects, but i feel bad for the other kids, but i bet some kids are happy that they dont have to worry about the mid terms.
ReplyDeleteI don’t understand why those students would do something like that. I think they thought that they wouldn't get caught for doing something illegal? It doesn't make sense how mid-year exams or extra-curricular activities have anything to do with this. Honestly I don’t think that the principal should take education away from other students because of these students, I agree that they did something awful but I don’t think the whole school should have to pay for their crimes. I think the students should be expelled, shouldn’t be able to join ANY schools and should go to jail for a long time. I don’t think there is a “way” to teach others that sexual harassment is wrong people should already know this kind of stuff in high school.

I think the 6 students who had gotten harassed should be taken cared of loved until they can recover from that trauma. I fell like the police should go to there school and give them a firm talking too not cancelling there exams that wont do anything but ruin there education.
it is to big of a reaction but it is still not a good thing but u mnust be sad or worried that it will hapen to them or that the exames are canseld for good
