It seems that every week there is another tragedy in the United States.
President Trump recommends that there be security guards in front of all schools and places of worship.
Will this alleviate the problem?
Do you believe anti-semitism is still present today?

P.S. It is pretty crazy that the man who did the shooting, pleaded NOT GUILTY!
I think putting guards everywhere is not a good idea, because guards usually have guns an I wouldn’t feel safe with people with guns watching me. I would honestly feel even more unsafe. I would feel threatened if people with guns were watching me. Ever time I’d see people with guns watching me, I would feel like they are going to shoot me any minute.

DeleteWell it’s a nice thought but there's so many other things that won't scare kids out of there pants. I’m not sure that this ideas going to work but it might work, it’s just that it might be weird and scary to have bodyguards (of sortes) right outside the school or places of worship. In a way I feel Donald Trump started this problem. I definitely believe that it’s still a thing that people do. These things like the shooting are proof that people still are hating on these Jewish people. It’s just not cool!!!!!!

DeleteI find it is a good idea to put security guards but also it is not really good because it can solve some problems. For example let's say the guards are trying to shoot the person and miss and shoot a innocent person. It would be a really big problem so it would alleviate the problem. Maybe anti-semitism is still present today. Well because I am jewish but I do not fully follow the religion but yet I here some people say stuff about the religion and making fun of it. So it is probably still present today.

DeletePutting security guards will probably help the problem but not solve it. If Trump puts guards only in important places all the rest can still be shoot. Even if there is some guards they can still die so they won’t protect the people. A good way of stooping these thing to happen is by not selling guns. I think anti-semitism is still present today because if it would not be present thing like that would not happen.
ReplyDeleteI think putting guards inside/around schools is a very bad idea.Why? Well first of all, some kids are afraid of guards, I mean my sister is in grade 4 and she’s afraid of police officers. Even though we tell her that they are here to protect us, she still thinks they’re scary. Second of all: (for example) let’s say there’s a shooting in a school, and there are guards around the school, if they (the guards) do have to use their guns, the guards will not be setting a good example.

It also in a way could be very dangerous like if a guard were to shoot a criminal or something he could miss and hit someone innocent.

Its good because it will make you feel more safe and you there is a good chance nothing bad will happen as in anyone getting hurt or something bad happens etc. But i think its a bad idea because i think it will be threatening to some people if they got school and see big men holding guns and also they might not know what happening and someone could get hurt and that is not good so.

Deletein my opinion its not the best idea because it coud be really horrifying to see men or woman with guns in front of your school or a religious place it could also be a positive thing like it could help but maybe not in the best way because at the end someone will die or get really hurt. i think that there is another way to fix this problem instead of scary little kids not only little kids but if i knew that every time i walked into church and i saw people with guns i honestly wouldn't feel that comfortable going.

It's a good idea because its safe for the school,peoples don't have to worried about some bad happens. It's a bad idea because some peoples are scared of the guards and the guards have their guns with them which is does not make people feel comfortable .
ReplyDeleteI think that for once Trump has had a good idea. The idea of putting policemen around school could protect the kids from future school shootings and it would make them feel safe. Trump is being sensitive and really good, I think it shows if he thought about stuff more often he would be a better president.It is absolutely insane he pleaded not guilty.
ReplyDeleteIt’s awful that there’s so much shooting going on in the United States, and it’s a frequent acquiring thing. There are few people in this world that hate other religions, race, language, accent… Nothing is done to prevent these people from committing their crimes. I believe that anti-semitism still is a thing for such as what happened in the States. It’s been a week since the incident happened and most people have already forgotten what happened. It’s a shame how certain people like that put a title on others with the same race. In my opinion increasing security around the religious and public places would be a waste. People want to feel safe while going to school or going to work. They shouldn’t have to live in fear just because of these certain types of people.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that anti semitism is still present to this day. The recent shooting at that synagogue proves it. If that man did not hate jews, he probably would not have shot up the synagogue. He could have just been some psycho with a gun that was going to shoot up the first thing he sees, but that was most likely not the case. Trump says that you have to put armed guards in front of places to stop these shootings. I have a feeling that doing this is very controversial, but I agree with it. If there were armed guards at the synagogue when the shooting happened, the guards would have stopped him before he could harm anyone else. Instead of killing eleven and injuring six, he would have maybe only killed one to three people before the guards could stop him.
ReplyDeleteI do believe that anti semitism still exist's. Although I do have mixed feelings about this body guard idea. On the one hand, having some extra measure's of security could really help, but I would feel very uncomfortable having guards posted next to me while i'm trying to pray. Places of worship are supposed to be a sanctuary, but it wouldn't feel that way with guns in the vicinity. I think that they should have three police men. Only armed with hand guns, and they must practice the religion of the place of worship they are protecting.
